Executive / Senior Executive - Events, Membership, Marketing
This is a generalist role embedded in SHRI's Events team, with a reach across marketing, membership engagement, and communications. The Executive / Senior Executive will play a hands-on role in planning and executing SHRI's signature events — including the HR Congress, Singapore HR Awards, and professional development seminars — while also supporting content marketing, member communications, and membership retention and acquisition efforts.
The ideal candidate is resourceful, organised, and comfortable wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
A. Events Planning &Execution
● Plan and coordinate end-to-end logistics for SHRI events, including conferences, seminars, award ceremonies, networking sessions, and member forums.
● Liaise with venues, vendors, AV suppliers, and external speakers to ensure seamless event delivery.
● Prepare event runbooks, briefing packs, and post-event evaluation reports.
● Manage event registration platforms, attendee communications, and on-site coordination.
● Track event budgets, raise purchase orders, and reconcile expenses in a timely manner.
● Support the preparation of sponsorship decks and coordinate with corporate sponsors.
B. Membership Engagement & Retention
● Assist in member acquisition campaigns and onboardingof new individual and corporate members.
● Coordinate membership renewal reminders and follow-upcommunications.
● Maintain and update membership records accurately inthe CRM/database.
● Support the planning and delivery of member-exclusive programmes and benefits.
● Respond to member enquiries professionally and promptly.
C. Marketing & Communication
● Develop and schedule content for SHRI's digital channels including email newsletters, LinkedIn, and the website.
● Write promotional copy for events, membership drives,and training programmes.
● Coordinate design briefs with in-house or externaldesigners for collaterals, banners, and digital assets.
● Monitor social media engagement and generate basicanalytics reports.
● Support media relations by drafting press releases or media advisories as required.
D. Administrative & Operational Support
● Maintain accurate records of vendor contracts, event documentation, and membership data.
● Prepare internal reports, meeting agendas, and minutes for departmental use.
● Support cross-departmental initiatives involving SHRI Academy and Corporate Learning divisions.
● Any other duties as assigned by the reporting manager or senior management.
Key Requirements
Qualifications
● Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Events Management, or a related discipline.
● Fresh graduates with strong internship experience in events or marketing are welcome to apply at the Executive level.
Skills & Competencies
● Strong project management and multi-tasking ability —able to juggle multiple events and deadlines simultaneously.
● Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Familiarity with Canva or basic Adobe tools is a plus.
● Good copywriting and communication skills in English; ability to write clearly for different audiences and channels.
● Comfortable with data entry, CRM systems, and event registration platforms.
● Meticulous and organised, with a keen eye for detail in event logistics and member records.
● A collaborative team player who is also able to work independently with minimal supervision.
