Job Description – Stores & Inventory Executive

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and process-oriented Stores & Inventory Executive to manage day-to-day warehouse, inventory, and material handling activities in a manufacturing/EMS environment. The role involves inventory control, ERP/SAP transactions, material movement management, audit coordination, KPI tracking, and continuous process improvement.

The ideal candidate should possess strong inventory management knowledge, ERP/SAP exposure, good communication skills, and experience handling store operations efficiently.


Key Responsibilities

Stores & Inventory Operations

  • Manage GRN (Goods Receipt Note) process and ensure accurate material receipt entries.
  • Handle goods receipt, storage, and material movement activities efficiently.
  • Maintain inventory control through proper PIC (Perpetual Inventory Control) practices.
  • Conduct ABC analysis for inventory classification and optimization.
  • Ensure proper binning and material identification for traceability and storage efficiency.
  • Manage kitting activities for production requirements.
  • Perform material issue transactions through ERP systems accurately and timely.
  • Handle RGP (Returnable Gate Pass) and NRGP (Non-Returnable Gate Pass) processes.
  • Coordinate E-Sugam documentation and compliance activities.

Inventory Management & Material Control

  • Ensure FIFO (First In First Out) implementation for inventory management.
  • Monitor consumable handling and stock usage.
  • Perform stock transformation and inventory transactions through SAP/ERP systems.
  • Coordinate stock verification and reconciliation activities.
  • Support inventory accuracy and minimize material discrepancies.

ERP / SAP / MES Operations

  • Handle daily ERP/SAP transactions related to stores and inventory activities.
  • Perform stock transformation and material movement transactions through SAP.
  • Support MES (Manufacturing Execution System) day-to-day activities and management.
  • Maintain accurate system records and inventory documentation.

Audit & Compliance

  • Support and coordinate customer audits related to stores and inventory processes.
  • Ensure ISO awareness and compliance within stores operations.
  • Conduct daily 5S audits and drive workplace organization improvements.
  • Maintain required documentation and records for audit compliance.

Reporting & KPI Management

  • Prepare and maintain daily operational reports and inventory status reports.
  • Monitor and track stores-related KPIs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in stores and warehouse operations.
  • Generate reports and presentations using Excel and PowerPoint.

Team & Communication Management

  • Handle manpower allocation and coordination within stores operations.
  • Coordinate effectively with production, procurement, planning, quality, and logistics teams.
  • Maintain professional communication through e-mails and internal reporting systems.

Educational Qualification

  • Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in:
    • Supply Chain Management
    • Logistics
    • Commerce

    • Related disciplines

Experience

  • Experience in:
    • Stores operations
    • Inventory management
    • ERP/SAP-based warehouse management
    • Manufacturing/EMS industry preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in EMS, Aerospace, Defense, or Electronics Manufacturing industry is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of warehouse optimization and lean inventory practices preferred.
