The Opportunity

GH Logistics is building a new finance function, and we're looking for an Expense Analyst to take ownership of what happens after company money is spent.

You'll review credit card charges, bank transactions, vendor expenses, contracts, and recurring subscriptions to ensure expenses are accurate, properly categorized, and aligned with business needs.

This is a build-it role for someone who is naturally investigative, organized, and comfortable figuring things out independently.

If your instinct is to research the problem, dig into the numbers, and find the answer instead of waiting for someone to tell you what to do, you'll fit well in this position.

What You'll Do

• Build a clean historical expense baseline by pulling and categorizing year-to-date transactions by month
• Review transactions daily and identify unusual or questionable charges as they occur
• Categorize company spending by department and expense type
• Reconcile and validate expenses against supporting information and active contracts
• Identify discrepancies and investigate the cause
• Review recurring expenses and subscriptions to determine whether they still align with business needs
• Analyze spending trends and identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary costs
• Maintain organized and accurate expense records
• Develop processes that improve ongoing visibility into company spending

What We're Looking For

Excel proficiency is the core requirement for this position.

You should be comfortable with:

• Pivot tables
• Lookups
• Data reconciliation
• Organizing and comparing large sets of information
• Identifying discrepancies and trends

A college degree or accounting degree is not required.

Nice to Have

• Google Sheets experience
• ERP or accounting system experience
• Expense management experience
• Vendor reconciliation experience
• Financial transaction review experience
