Summary

DevOps/DevEx engineer on a ~25-person team running a global sales platform, hands-on owning CI/CD pipelines, developer tooling, AWS infrastructure (CDK, serverless, ECS) and Docker across a TypeScript/Node and .NET stack. Long-term contract, hybrid: 1-2 days per week onsite in Stockholm.

Our system is one of the most important systems in the global Sales eco-system. We enable sales on a global scale, while adapting to local markets, serving and empowering thousands of sales representatives daily. We are a team of about 25 people working on making this happen. Our system is undergoing a transformative journey from legacy and reactive fire fighting with outdated processes and ways of working, to a more modern proactive, value and quality first approach. This is being done by improving the system wherever we make changes, in an evolutive maintenance fashion.

The goal here is autonomous teams that feel proud and empowered by creating value for the sales force.

As a DevOps/DevEx Engineer in our team, you will work with developers across our different initiatives in setting up and improving the tool stack for code and quality, pipelines and workflows. You will be an advisor when it comes to questions around AWS, Docker and how to compose quality and deployment CI/CD pipelines. We do have others with these skillsets so you won’t be alone, but we need someone with full-time focus on this, being hands-on in the trenches.

Our most common topics when it comes to AWS revolve around:

  • AWS CDK in TypeScript

  • IAM roles/policies for both deployment (pipelines/Gitlab runners) and runtime (Lambda/ECS execution etc)

  • Serverless (API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, EventBridge etc)

  • Managed Services (RDS/Aurora, Managed Kafka Services etc)

  • Long-running Compute (ECS, ECS, ALB, Auto-Scaling, deployment strategies etc)

You need to feel comfortable in the eco-system of:

  • TypeScript/JavaScript/Node, package repositories & managers, bundlers, test tools etc

  • C#/.NET, dotnet-cli, NuGet, Analyzers, test tools etc

  • Docker/Containers, repositories etc

  • Gitlab & Gitlab CI pipelines defined in YAML

Things we talk about on a daily basis includes:

  • Static code analysis

  • Agentic coding using OpenCode/Claude/Codex/OMP/Herdr etc

  • Testing locally and in pipelines (units, component/integration, end2end tests)

  • Testcontainers, AWS SAM and/or Localstack

  • Build and bundle tools for TS/JS and .NET

  • Monorepos, Workspaces (pnpm, turborepo, nx etc)

  • Monitoring and observability

  • Rolling deployments of code changes, database migrations etc

From an app perspective, our stack consists of the following:

  • APIs based on AWS Lambda and API Gateway, written in TypeScript/Node and .NET

  • Angular Frontend in TypeScript

  • E2E test suite in Playwright in TypeScript

  • Databases range from MSSQL, PostgreSQL to MongoDB and DynamoDB, we see that our future lies with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB

  • Event-driven architecture using Kafka, AWS EventBridge etc

  • Legacy .NET 4.5 monolithic application (running on EC2, soon to become ECS windows containers)

Must have:

  • Self-motivated and driven by improvements and enabling deliveries by enhancing developer experience

  • Solid knowledge of AWS

  • Solid knowledge of Docker/containers

  • Solid experience in CI/CD and a doer who can help us get there by actions

  • Very hands-on, working as a team player with developers to get things done

  • Evolutive maintenance comes naturally to you (improve things when you touch them)

Nice to have:

  • Experience of Windows Containers & Powershell

Start: Asap to 1,5 months availability

Length: Longterm

Workplace: Stockholm, 1-2 days per week onsite.
