About us

We're a small Melbourne software team. We build AI powered software for professional businesses in the built environment. We work closely with the users, so the problems are real and we get feedback fast.

The role

We're looking for an experienced software engineer to assist in the product engineering day to day. You'll work side by side with our product leads, who set the direction and build alongside you. You'll bring experience in writing, testing, reviewing and shipping features. We want someone who enjoys sharing what they know.

We plan new features in workshops with the people who'll use them, and you'll be in the room.

What you'll do

  • Assist in the product engineering day to day: plan the work, write code, review code and ship it

  • Build features across the stack in TypeScript, React and Next.js

  • Design tables and write queries in Postgres

  • Build AI powered software for professional businesses with leading AI models

  • Be curious and offer up your perspective during workshops with users, ask questions, and turn what you hear into working software

  • Set good habits for testing, code review and releases, and share what you know

What you'll bring

  • 5+ years building and shipping software that people use

  • Strong TypeScript and React

  • Strong SQL and Postgres – you can design a database, not just query one

  • Python

  • You have a deep understanding of how to build software with AI models

  • A good all-round tech background

  • You explain things clearly, including to people who don't write code

  • Full rights to work in Australia

Bonus points

  • An interest in the built environment – property, construction or architecture

  • Next.js

  • Experience connecting systems and automating work

What we offer

  • $120,000 + super

  • Paid AI tools – the best coding assistants, on us

  • A key role in a small team, where your experience shapes how we build

  • Real users and fast feedback – you'll hear the problem first-hand and see your work in use

  • Full time, five days a week in our Melbourne CBD office

How to apply

Apply through SEEK with your CV and a short note about something you've built and are proud of. A GitHub or portfolio link is welcome. If you have an interest in the built environment or architecture, tell us about it. You'll need full rights to work in Australia.
