Job Description

We are recruiting a Java Developer to join a human-sized structure specializing in the development of high-performance, robust, and scalable software solutions.

You will join a stimulating technical environment focused on code quality, application performance, and continuous improvement. You will contribute to the design and development of high-value-added solutions using modern technologies and recognized best practices in the Java ecosystem.

Your missions

Within an experienced technical team and using Agile methodology, you will participate in the development, evolution, and maintenance of business applications.

In this role, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure Java applications.
• Develop RESTful services and APIs in a Java/JEE and Spring Boot environment.
• Participate in technical design and software architecture evolutions (microservices, distributed architectures, n-tier applications).
• Contribute to the design, development, integration, testing, and maintenance phases of applications.
• Perform code reviews and ensure the application of development best practices (Clean Code, SOLID, design patterns).
• Implement unit and integration tests (JUnit, Mockito) to ensure the quality and reliability of developments.
• Address performance, optimization, and code maintainability issues.
• Participate in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Maven).
• Work in close collaboration with technical and functional teams: developers, architects, QA, Product Owner, and business stakeholders.
• Propose technical choices, industrialization of developments, and continuous improvement of team practices.

Qualifications

Education & experience

• Higher education in computer science, software engineering, or software development (Master's degree level).
• 4 to 7 years of experience in object-oriented software development on application projects in a professional environment.
• Significant experience in the development of business applications, back-end solutions, and information systems.
• Participation in development, evolution, and maintenance projects for applications with high volume or business stakes.

Key technical skills

• Excellent command of Java (Java 8, 11, 17 or recent versions).
• Good knowledge of the Java/JEE ecosystem and associated frameworks.
• Mastery of Spring, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Hibernate, and JPA frameworks.
• Solid skills in object-oriented programming (OOP), software design, and application of Design Patterns.
• Experience in developing REST APIs, web services, and distributed architectures.
• Good practice of unit tests, integration tests, and software quality tools (JUnit, Mockito, SonarQube).
• Mastery of version control tools (Git, GitLab, GitHub, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of build and integration tools (Maven, Gradle).
• Mastery of relational databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and optimized queries.
• Experience with software development, integration, and delivery environments.
• Strong sensitivity to performance, scalability, maintainability, security, and code quality issues.
• Good knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborative development practices.

Appreciated skills

• Experience with microservices architectures and modern application architectures.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps).
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• Knowledge of observability, monitoring, and application performance management.
• Experience in high-availability or high-data-volume environments.
• Ability to understand and translate functional business needs into high-performance technical solutions.
