Experienced Service Technician - North Carolina
As a Geoprobe® service technician, you'll be part of a dedicated team focused on providing top service through efficient rig repairs and maintenance. Your role will involve inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and servicing the mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems of our technical drilling rigs. Your professional approach to producing high-quality, customer-ready equipment ensures clients in the environmental, geotechnical, geothermal, and water well industries remain active. Successful candidates have strong communication skills and are able to clearly describe problems and processes with customers; a collaborative mindset; and a passion for helping others.

Responsibilities
- Perform all levels of repair and preventative maintenance on customer vehicles and equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, recommend and repair all critical machine and engine adjustments
- Study, read, and interpret schematic engineering drawings
- Test to ensure accuracy of repairs
- Maintain detailed records of service interactions, solutions provided, and follow-up actions
- Timely input of machine-related customer interactions entered into internal system
- Ability to cross-train and learn a variety of machines that come into the shop.
- Complete all assignments in a timely manner and meet service delivery schedules
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude
- Able to read and understand schematics
- Proficient with hand tools
- Basic PC knowledge (ability to operate a keyboard and basic navigation between screens within an application)
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs

- Helpful experience includes any of the following: drilling equipment operation, farm background or farm work experience, working on engines or automotive components, or heavy equipment use - manufacturing preferred
