Experienced Table Games Dealer (Caesars New Orleans)

The Table Games Dealer is responsible for accurately and professionally dealing assigned table games while delivering exceptional guest service. This role helps create a fun, engaging, and exciting gaming experience for guests while ensuring compliance with all gaming regulations, company policies, and departmental procedures.

  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of dealing procedures, gaming regulations, and departmental policies.

  • Communicates pertinent information to Supervisors in a timely and professional manner.

  • Accurately handles casino gaming checks, chips, cards, and cash transactions.

  • Creates a positive guest experience by being friendly, professional, enthusiastic, and service-oriented.

  • Assists with game observation and player tracking as required.

  • Maintains compliance with Caesars appearance and grooming standards.

  • Demonstrates flexibility and professionalism in meeting scheduling and operational needs.

  • Consistently represents Caesars in a positive manner and encourages coworkers to do the same.

  • Maintains attendance standards and complies with all regulatory, departmental, and company policies and procedures.

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must successfully complete a basic math assessment and pass a Caesars dealer audition demonstrating proficiency in required gaming skills.
  • Must be proficient in dealing at least one major table game and possess a minimum of one year of previous dealing experience.
  • Must possess strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work effectively with coworkers and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Must maintain a professional, well-groomed appearance consistent with Caesars standards.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the casino, including the assigned pit area, for the duration of the shift.

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods, including intervals of 2 to 3 hours at a time.

  • Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grasp items as necessary to perform job duties.

  • Must be able to remain calm and make sound decisions while addressing guest concerns in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be able to work in an environment that may include secondhand smoke, elevated noise levels, bright lighting, and dust.

  • Must be able to read, verify, complete, and sign documents related to gaming operations in confined work areas.

  • Must be able to quickly and accurately perform mathematical calculations to determine winning and losing wagers and process payouts.

  • Must possess strong manual dexterity for the accurate handling of chips, cards, cash, and gaming equipment.

  • Must accurately balance and reconcile the assigned chip bank at the beginning and end of each shift.

  • Must possess excellent vision, including peripheral vision, to effectively monitor and protect the integrity of the game.

  • Must be able to perform effectively in a fast-paced and occasionally stressful environment.

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

  • Must be able to respond appropriately to visual and auditory cues in a gaming environment.
