Expert Cloud Automation Developer

Introduction & Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Automation Developer to enhance the cloud automation and self-service capabilities of the cloud services platform. This role requires extensive experience (minimum 10 years) in software, cloud, and platform engineering to help design and implement automation services for provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of Azure resources. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of modern cloud and automation technologies, and a track record of delivering effective solutions.

Main Responsibilities

The Cloud Automation Developer will be responsible for:

• Developing reusable Infrastructure as Code modules for Azure resource management.

• Creating self-service applications and APIs to facilitate easy cloud consumption.

• Automating CI/CD workflows for consistent infrastructure and application deployment.

• Implementing automated functional, regression, and deployment tests for various components.

• Integrating security and governance capabilities into delivery patterns.

• Ensuring operational readiness for solutions delivered across the platform.

• Designing technical guidelines that promote reuse and maintainability.

• Providing recommendations to reduce operational complexity.

Key Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Azure and public cloud architecture.

• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code and automation using Terraform.

• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps workflows, particularly GitHub Actions.

• Strong background in full-stack software development with Java/Spring, REST APIs, JavaScript/TypeScript, and frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.

• Deep understanding of cloud security, identity management, and governance.

• Skilled in API and platform integration across various services.

• Experience in automated testing and quality engineering.

• Proficient in scripting and operational automation using PowerShell or equivalent tools.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes (AKS).
