Our Client is looking for an Expert Data Engineer to join the core Data Science and Engineering team within their global IT Hub, driving the "Volume & Capacity Management and QMT Frontdesk" product portfolio.

This product optimizes plant-level capacity management, complaint and claim processes ("0 Km Reclaim"), supply and value stream planning, and manufacturing control room operations across production plants.

Operating as a regional industry leader, you will lead the architecture, data modeling, migration (ABW to CBW), and hybrid integration connecting SAP BW on/for HANA with AWS Big Data pipelines and optimization engines (Gurobi).

• SAP BW & Data Warehouse Architecture: 15+ years of dedicated data transformation and data modeling experience with deep mastery in SAP BW 7.5 data modeling, SAP BW on/for HANA, ETL optimization, and core database design principles.
• Advanced ABAP & Data Pipeline Coding: Expert-level competence in SAP ABAP, SQL, AMDP, and CDS Views alongside data pipeline scripting in Python and PySpark.
• Cloud Big Data & Hybrid Integration: Proven experience architecting and integrating serverless and managed AWS data services (AWS Glue-ETL, Step Functions, Lambda, EventBridge, CloudWatch, S3, Athena) and modern data platforms (Snowflake, CDH).

Qualifications & Experience:

• BSc Degree in Computer Science, Mathematical Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field.
• At least 15+ years of relevant commercial experience in data transformation, enterprise data warehousing, and data modeling.
• Proven track record leading enterprise data migrations and managing complex hybrid integrations across SAP and cloud environments.

Essential Skills & Technologies:

SAP Data Engineering & Modeling:

• SAP BW 7.5 data modeling skills and warehouse design principles.
• SAP ABAP, SQL, AMDP, and CDS View coding competence.
• High competence in SAP BW on/for HANA code and ETL optimization.

Cloud, Big Data & Scripting:

• AWS Big Data ecosystem: AWS Glue-ETL, Step Functions, Lambda, CloudWatch, EventBridge, S3, and Athena.
• Strong coding capabilities in Python, SQL, and PySpark.
• Experience with VS Code, GitHub deployments, Snowflake, and CDH.

Advantageous Skills:

• Strong background in statistics, mathematics, and machine learning frameworks.
• Domain understanding of automotive vehicle production processes and plant manufacturing datasets.
• Familiarity with mathematical optimization solvers (e.g., Gurobi).

Key Responsibilities:

• Platform Migration & Integration: Assist with the migration of the product from ABW to CBW (deployment, testing, and troubleshooting) and integrate SAP BW, AWS pipelines, Java frontends, and Gurobi solvers.
• AWS CRUD & Pipeline Operations: Set up and manage AWS processes to handle CRUD operations, data synchronization, and automated ETL ingestion.
• Root Cause Analysis & Optimization: Perform deep Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify and resolve underlying technical issues, enhancing solution stability.
• Strategic Advisory & Delivery: Act as a trusted technical advisor to stakeholders, manage delivery expectations, and author detailed technical architecture documentation within Jira Agile sprints.
