Teciem seeks an Expert Systems Engineer in Bengaluru to act as the technical authority for enterprise storage, designing and operating NetApp-based hybrid infrastructure (CVO, on-prem arrays, Azure NetApp Files). Day to day this means architecture and capacity planning, deployment and lifecycle management, automation, performance optimization, monitoring integration, and ITIL-aligned documentation

What will you contribute?
As a Expert Storage Systems Engineer, you will serve as the recognized technical expert for enterprise storage platforms, with deep expertise across NetApp technologies including NetApp CVO (Cloud Volumes ONTAP), NetApp on‑premises arrays, and Azure NetApp Files. You will design, operate, and optimize global storage infrastructures that support mission‑critical workloads across hybrid environments.
In this role, you will drive strategy, architecture, performance engineering, automation, and modernisation initiatives, helping shape the technical direction for storage services across the organization. You will collaborate with cross‑functional engineering, cloud, operations, and architecture teams to deliver innovative, scalable, and resilient storage solutions.
Your contribution will include providing technical thought leadership, solving complex problems with broad business impact, and influencing storage strategy and standards across multiple products and business segments.
Responsibilities & Deliverables:
Architecture & Design
- Lead architecture, design, and capacity planning of storage platforms including NetApp CVO, on‑premises NetApp systems, and Azure NetApp Files.
- Develop and maintain storage service roadmaps, standards, best practices, and automation frameworks aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements to enhance performance, resilience, security, and operational efficiency.
Implementation & Operations
- Oversee deployment, configuration, upgrades, and lifecycle management of enterprise storage systems across on‑prem and cloud environments.
- Ensure top‑quality delivery of storage‑related projects, collaborating closely with project managers and engineering teams.
- Drive troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and resolution of complex performance or availability issues affecting storage services.
Automation, Optimization & Monitoring
- Develop automation to streamline provisioning, data protection, and DR workflows.
- Optimize storage performance, cost, and efficiency, leveraging analytics, telemetry, and capacity forecasting tools.
- Integrate storage platforms with enterprise monitoring systems, ensuring complete observability across all tiers.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Act as a technical advisor to cloud, compute, database, and operations teams during design, implementation, and incident response.
- Lead complex technical initiatives with organization‑wide impact, providing guidance across multiple products and business segments.
- Communicate complex ideas and influence senior stakeholders to adopt recommended solutions and strategies.
Documentation & Compliance
-Produce and maintain architecture documents, runbooks, technical specifications, testing protocols, and operational guides.
-Ensure alignment with ITIL practices, including change, incident, and problem management workflows.
-Support audit and compliance initiatives for infrastructure controls and data protection.
