[Expressing of Interest] Test Engineer (RF/Microwave)

Summary

The Test Engineer designs and maintains automated test procedures for RF/microwave assemblies, performs reliability testing, and troubleshoots failures using equipment like VNAs and spectrum analyzers. Our client is a well-established manufacturing group serving customers in the electronics and technology industries. The organisation provides engineering and production support across several business areas, and is currently expanding its engineering and production teams to support new customer programs.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain test procedures and automated test setups for RF/microwave assemblies and modules
  • Perform functional, environmental, and reliability testing (vibration, thermal cycling, burn-in)
  • Develop test fixtures and scripts (e.g. LabVIEW, Python) to support production test automation
  • Troubleshoot RF test failures down to component level, working with design and production teams to close out issues
  • Support NPI test development, first article testing, and transfer to production
  • Maintain calibration schedules and test equipment (VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators)
  • Prepare test reports and data packages for customer submission

Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, RF/Microwave Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 2-4 years of RF/microwave test engineering experience
  • Hands-on experience with RF test equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzer, power meters)
  • Experience with test automation (LabVIEW, Python, or equivalent) preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting mindset and attention to detail
