Expression of Interest: Basketball School Coach (25 Hour Contract)

ESF Explore is now inviting candidates to register their interest for the role of Basketball School Coach (25 Hour Contract).
Responsibilities
Provide coaching to participants of the Basketball programme at various schools in Hong Kong.
Maintain flow and development of school programmes ensuring correct technique and skill progression to achieve desired outcomes.
Plan sessions, ensure coaching is appropriate to the skill level of the child.
Maintain relevant lesson registers and assessment sheets.
Monitor and evaluate player performance and progress, providing appropriate feedback to player, parents, and Technical Director (Head Coach).
Promote basketball activities positively within the wider community.
Take an active role in increasing participation and growth of the programme.
Maintain all equipment in good working condition and report any safety concerns to Technical Director.
Ensure all equipment is stored correctly at end of each session.
Complete miscellaneous tasks and other responsibilities assigned by Technical Director.
Requirement
Possess a current Basketball certificate Level 1 or equivalent.
Two years’ recent experience in teaching/coaching youth basketball.
Proven experience of working within schools and basketball rogrammes
Abilities
Passionate about teaching/coaching basketball
Ability to motivate others
Work and function within a team
Good organisational and planning skills
A confident and professional manner
Knowledge
Knowledge on National and International sporting initiatives
Possess basic computer knowledge in Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.
Flexibility to adapt to changing environments, ability groups and weather conditions.
A commitment to work unsocial hours.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Fluency in English essential.
