Recruit123 is helping our clients to source for Production Managers for upcoming and ongoing opportunities within Singapore's chemical/petrochemical manufacturing sector. This is an Expression of Interest listing — we are building a pipeline of qualified candidates ahead of confirmed openings with our clients.

Our clients operate chemical/petrochemical manufacturing facilities in Singapore, seeking experienced Production Managers to lead plant operations and drive production performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day production operations, ensuring output, quality, and safety targets are met
  • Lead and manage production teams, including manpower planning, shift scheduling, and performance management
  • Ensure strict compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM), workplace safety and health (WSH) regulations, and hazardous chemical handling protocols
  • Monitor production KPIs (yield, efficiency, downtime, quality) and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate closely with process engineering, maintenance, QA/QC, and logistics teams to ensure smooth plant operations
  • Manage production budgets, cost control, and resource allocation
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective/preventive actions
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, customer specifications, and internal quality standards
  • Support internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory inspections
  • Drive a strong safety culture through toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and team engagement
  • Plan and oversee plant turnarounds, shutdowns, and start-up activities as needed

Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 8–12 years of production/manufacturing experience within a chemical, petrochemical, or process industry, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial/leadership capacity
  • Strong knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM), hazardous chemical handling, and Singapore WSH regulations
  • Proven track record of leading production teams and driving operational performance improvements
  • Experience with plant audits, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance
  • Strong leadership, people management, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Willingness to be involved in shift coverage or on-call arrangements during critical operations/turnarounds as needed
  • Singaporeans/PRs preferred
