Summary
The Exterior Designer will lead vehicle design projects from initial concept and sketching through to production execution. The role involves coordinating with modeling teams, conducting market research, and presenting design proposals to management.
Objectives\:
We are seeking an highly creative and motivated Exterior Designer to develop compelling vehicle designs that combine strong brand identity, customer relevance, and innovation.
This role will be responsible from early ideation and concept development through digital modeling, physical model development, design refinement, and production execution.
The role requires strong creative ability, proportions and surfacing judgment, and the ability to work effectively with other designers, and digital / physical modeling team.
Tasks：
Project planning Coordination
- Analyses of project schedule
- Able to plan execution methods and materials
- Able to plan time and work capacity schedule for individual and team
Research/Analysis & concept work
- Makes proposals for market-studies
- Analysis of collected market material
- Explains reports of style/concept analysis
- Creates design/ style concept
2 dimensional work
- Executes high quality sketches and renderings
3 dimensional work
Gives instruction and direct modelers in coordination with his superior
Adjusts proportions, lines and surfaces
coordinates overall model expression
Makes proposals for good level of presentation with quality material
Presentation
- Makes arrangement of presentation environment
- Explains clearly his own project proposal(s)
- Creates clear status reports for co-workers, top management, etc. for easy reviewing
Maintain efficient communication and professional work ethics within team
- Ensure high standard of professionalism and motivation throughout team and department
- Lead by example in maintaining good working relationships and team spirit with co-workers
- Communication and liason with different departments and vendors/suppliers
