External Draftsperson (CAD / BIM)
Summary
Drafts and maintains CAD/BIM models for airport infrastructure, updating drawings and validating compliance with site conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Update and maintain Architectural, Civil, Mechanical and Electrical (ACMV) drawings.
- Update terminal master layout plans and airport infrastructure drawings.
- Prepare, amend and maintain CAD, Civil 3D and Revit drawings/models.
- Update underground services drawings including drainage, utilities, fire hydrants, electrical and water services.
- Create, update and coordinate BIM models.
- Convert drawings between CAD, PDF, DWG, IFC and Navisworks formats.
- Conduct site verification and validate drawings against actual site conditions.
- Prepare floor area schedules, space layouts and technical documentation.
- Validate drawing and BIM submissions for completeness and compliance.
- Maintain drawing registers, document control records and progress reports.
- Coordinate with CAG officers, consultants, contractors and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building Services, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Revit.
- Knowledge of BIM workflows and drawing management.
- Able to interpret engineering drawings, maps and survey information.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in airport, infrastructure or engineering projects will be an advantage.
