Extracurricular Internship: Monitoring Industry 4.0. (f/m/div.)

Summary

Internship debugging and testing Kubernetes clusters, implementing monitoring solutions with OpenTelemetry and Elastic, and contributing backend code in Python, C#, and Go.

Your contribution to something big:

  • Solve problems related with the monitoring of applications;
  • Research and implement solutions according to architecture decision records written by you and other colleagues;
  • Write pull requests with your suggestions;
  • Debug and test Kubernetes clusters following a GitOps approach;
  • Do some minor web development.

The Tech Stack We Work With:

  • Our monitoring infrastructure is based on OpenTelemetry and Elastic technologies, such as Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Beats;
  • Our infrastructure is supported by Kubernetes clusters;
  • CI/CD relies on Azure DevOps, Ansible, Terraform, FluxCD, Helm and Jfrog,
  • We mostly code backend apps with Python, C# with ASP.NET, and Golang.

What distinguishes you:

  • University degree in an engineering or science related field, e.g.: Informatics, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Chemistry or Computer Science;
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written
  • Willingness to learn and a proactive attitude, especially for exploring on your own;
  • Process-oriented and a methodical and structured approach to work.

Duration: 12 months
