EY - Team Leader - Public Procurement & Healthcare

Role Overview:

The Team Leader will be responsible for leading and coordinating consulting assignments related to public procurement and healthcare procurement. The role will involve managing multidisciplinary teams, overseeing project delivery, engaging with government and PSU stakeholders, and providing strategic and operational support across procurement and healthcare-related initiatives. The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of professional experience, including at least 5 years of relevant experience in Government/PSU healthcare procurement or healthcare consulting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams engaged in public procurement, healthcare procurement, and consulting assignments.

- Oversee end-to-end project delivery, ensuring adherence to agreed timelines, quality standards, and client requirements.

- Provide strategic and operational guidance on procurement planning, sourcing, tendering, bid processes, and contract management.

- Coordinate with Government departments, PSUs, healthcare institutions, vendors, and other key stakeholders.

- Support the preparation and review of procurement documents, tender documents, RFPs, evaluation frameworks, and related deliverables.

- Monitor project progress, identify implementation challenges, and recommend practical solutions to ensure timely delivery.

- Manage stakeholder consultations, meetings, reporting, and coordination across multiple workstreams.

- Mentor and guide project team members while ensuring effective resource allocation and knowledge sharing.

- Ensure that project activities comply with applicable procurement procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skillset:

- 10+ years of overall professional experience.

- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Government/PSU healthcare procurement or healthcare consulting.

- Strong experience in public procurement, materials management, healthcare procurement, supply chain, or procurement advisory.

- Demonstrated experience working with Government departments, PSUs, public-sector institutions, or healthcare organizations.

- Strong understanding of procurement processes, including tendering, RFP preparation, bid evaluation, vendor management, and contract management.

- Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex consulting or procurement assignments.

- Strong stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and deliver assignments within defined timelines.
