F&B Banquet Houseperson

Summary:

The Banquet Houseperson is responsible for the setup, breakdown, maintenance, and organization of banquet rooms, meeting spaces, concert venues, and special event areas throughout Silver Reef Casino Resort. This position ensures all event spaces are properly prepared according to event specifications and guest expectations while providing support to multiple departments as operational needs require. The Banquet Houseperson plays a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by maintaining a clean, safe, organized, and professional environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous banquet, hospitality, warehouse, event setup, or labor experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Flexibility to work during days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

License Requirements:

• Class II Gaming License

Essential Job Functions:

Include, but are not limited to:

• Set up and break down banquet rooms, meeting rooms, conference spaces, and event venues according to diagrams, floor plans, and management direction.
• Arrange tables, chairs, linens, staging, dance floors, podiums, audiovisual equipment, and other event-related furnishings.
• Assist with concert, entertainment, and special event setup, including staging, barricades, seating arrangements, and crowd management preparations.
• Transport and properly store banquet and event equipment before and after functions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet storage areas, equipment rooms, and event spaces.
• Assist banquet servers, captains, and managers during events as needed.
• Perform room flips and rapid event transitions in a timely and efficient manner.
• Monitor event spaces throughout functions and address setup or maintenance concerns promptly.
• Assist with moving furniture and equipment throughout the property as directed.
• Support other Food & Beverage departments and operational teams when business needs require additional assistance.
• Deliver supplies, equipment, and materials to various departments throughout the resort.
• Maintain inventory and report damaged or missing equipment to management.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
• Provide courteous and professional service to guests and team members at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and climbing.
• Ability to safely move tables, chairs, staging, and event equipment.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions when supporting special events.

Working Conditions:

• This position operates within Banquet facilities, meeting spaces, entertainment venues, outdoor event locations, and various operational departments throughout Silver Reef Casino Resort.
• The environment may occasionally involve exposure to noise, crowds, moving equipment, and fast-paced event operations.
