Position Overview

Projects Inc. is a leading manufacturer of precision-machined components serving the aerospace and power generation industries. Our FAA and EASA-approved Repair Station specializes in the maintenance, repair, and alteration of temperature and pressure probes. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented FAA Repair Station Assembly & Repair Technician to join our team and support our commitment to safety, quality, compliance, and operational excellence.

In this role, you will perform assembly, disassembly, repair, testing, inspection, and documentation activities on aerospace components while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, approved technical data, customer requirements, and company quality standards. The ideal candidate possesses strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing safe, reliable, and high-quality products.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Assemble, disassemble, repair, and reassemble aerospace components, including temperature and pressure probes, in accordance with approved procedures, repair station manuals, engineering drawings, and specifications.
  • Follow FAA regulations, company policies, customer requirements, and quality management system standards.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, manuals, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Perform electrical assembly, basic circuit wiring, soldering, and troubleshooting activities as required.
  • Measure loop resistance using impedance meters and insulation resistance using megohmmeters.
  • Conduct inspections, measurements, and functional testing to verify product conformity, performance, and airworthiness.
  • Perform precision welding and brazing on small aerospace components.
  • Safely utilize hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and specialized test equipment.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve assembly and repair issues; escalate complex concerns to Engineering or Quality as appropriate.
  • Identify defects, discrepancies, and nonconforming conditions and support corrective action activities.
  • Maintain accurate assembly, repair, inspection, testing, and certification records in accordance with FAA and company requirements.
  • Ensure proper accountability and control of parts, materials, tools, and documentation.
  • Support root cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in training programs and cross-functional team activities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
