Fabric Data Engineer

Must have skills :

- Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Fabric administration, including tenant settings, workspace and capacity management, security roles, permissions, service principals, gateways, monitoring and troubleshooting.

- Strong SQL is essential, incremental loading, watermarks and SCD Type 1 / Type 2.

- You should understand Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake, shortcuts, Dataflows Gen2, metadata-driven pipelines, audit / error handling and DevQAProd deployments.

- Power BI skills should include semantic modelling, Direct Lake, DirectQuery, RLS, DAX and refresh troubleshooting.

- Power Query / M and Power Automate are also necessary for transformations, query folding, pipeline automation, API calls, authentication and error handling.

Good to have :

- Working knowledge of PySpark, Delta Lake optimization, notebooks, partitioning, Z-ordering and liquid clustering.

- Fabric REST APIs, PowerShell or Python are useful for automating administration, permissions, monitoring and deployments.

- Knowledge of Git, CI / CD, Microsoft Purview, data governance, sensitivity labels, lineage.
