About the Position: This position is located at the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC), U.S. Military Academy, West Point. Located in the scenic Hudson River valley, only 50 miles from New York City, the U.S. Military Academy at West Point is a four-year academic institution, a nationally-renowned historic site, and the oldest continuously occupied military post in America. The undergraduates, known as cadets, are commissioned as officers in the US Army upon graduation.

Make, modify and repair specialized types of garments for the United States Military Academy.

Measure pieces, mark garments to indicate required alterations, and alter or repair coats, jackets, and other tailored items, which require precise shaping and finishing.

Custom fit and tailor various items of the cadet uniform, e.g., long overcoat, full dress coat, dress coat and parka.

Perform braiding, machine basting, setting sleeves and collar by machine, and other specialized tasks as required.
