Fabrication Support - C Shift (Thursday, 12:30pm-6:30pm Friday-Sunday, 6:30am-6:30pm)

B Shift (Monday-Wednesday, 6:30pm-6:30am Thursday, 6:30pm-12:30am)

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for efficiently operating Fabrication equipment in order to modify aluminum parts based on the specific order. This position is also responsible for using a variety of inspection tools to ensure that the parts produced meet the required quality specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Exhibit active leadership in order to model and support the company’s vision, culture and strategies

· Set up and run equipment safely and efficiently in order to maximize output while meeting customer quality requirements

· Strenuous or repetitive jobs must rotate at a minimum of every 4 hours to prevent the risk of injury

• Strenuous activity is one in which it is necessary for you to use a lot of effort, energy or strength
• REPETITIVE: a motion that occurs every few seconds with little or no variation
• OSHA emphasizes that job rotation should be used as a preventative measure to prevent physical fatigue and injury

· Accurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders:

• Review manufacturing orders in order to verify internal and external customer specifications
• Package orders based on customer specifications
• Follow current work center schedule to ensure customer service and satisfaction

· Monitor and recommend appropriate process improvements to safety, rates, yield and inspection techniques

· Perform general machine maintenance as necessary to keep equipment in a well maintained condition

· Provide suggestions and continuous improvements ideas to help better processes and procedures

· Keep work area clean and orderly using 5S system (standardize, sustain, sort, set in order and shine)

· Continually support and improve the department’s key measures

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Basic computer skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to detect minor defects in the finish of the product

The anticipated pay range for this position is $18.00-25.48/hour. There is also a $2.25/hour shift differential that will be added to the base pay. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors include job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs and geographic location.
