Fabricator- Machined Core (2nd Shift)
Summary
Fabricates and assembles machined components, performs finishing operations, and ensures quality standards in a cleanroom environment during second shift.
As a Fabricator you will perform multiple operations such as drilling, routing, finishing and assembly of components and assemblies.
Currently there is an opening for a Fabricator in our Machined Core division on 2nd shift (Monday- Friday 2:30p - 10:30p.)
***Training on 1st for 6 to 8 weeks may be required: Monday - Friday 6:30AM to 2:30PM***
Machined Core Fabricator: Starting at $23.29 per hour on the 2nd Shift!
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform finish work on components, assemblies, and products including forming, potting, splicing, sanding and trimming.
• Complete fabrication and assembly per the drawings/instructions.
• Read, understand and execute upon written work instruction for the manufacture of parts.
• Fill out all documentation completely and accurately.
• Accurately inspect parts against the quality requirements.
• Interpret and follow a work schedule and advise if there are issues.
• Support essential duties and responsibilities with moderate to low supervision
• Assist, clean, and pack operations as needed.
• Clean product to be packaged.
• Load crates and package parts properly to be protected during shipment.
• Completes necessary paperwork and enters data into the electronic data system.
• Follow all required cleanroom process and procedures.
• Proper installation of vacuum bags for the heat forming of parts.
• Properly prepare tools for the heat forming of parts.
• Properly prepare materials needed for manufacturing of parts (peel ply, tooltec, vacuum bag material, etc.)
• Operate ovens to correctly select the proper recipe for the required operation.
• Curve expand parts as required.
• Provide the customer with the best value including Cost, Quality, and Delivery.
• Handle internal and external questions in a prompt professional manner.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
• Performs all reasonably related duties as assigned.
• Ability to support all required quality audits for specific areas (ex. clean room checklist, clean core checklist, etc.)
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED Preferred.
• Must be able to operate independently with reduced supervision.
• Must have strong math skills.
• Previous experience in industrial manufacturing
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and effectively communicate within an industrial setting.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).
