Architect - Façade and Roof Package Lead

- Contribute to the design, documentation, specification and delivery of complex architectural projects
- Take ownership of and lead facade and roof packages, coordinating their development from design through documentation and delivery
- Develop, modify and review architectural details, drawings and documentation relating to building envelopes, facades and roofing
- Work closely with Project Leads to ensure facade and roof solutions maintain the overall architectural vision and design intent
- Coordinate architectural interfaces between facade, roof, structure, services, waterproofing and other building elements.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors and suppliers to resolve technical and design requirements
- Coordinate and review information from facade engineers, structural engineers and other specialist consultants
- Identify design and coordination issues early and work collaboratively with the wider project team to develop appropriate solutions
- Participate in design reviews, coordination meetings, workshops and stakeholder presentations
- Review drawings, models, mark-ups and specialist information to ensure alignment with architectural intent and project requirements
- Manage assigned tasks and package deliverables to meet project timelines and quality expectations
- Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants and internal project teams
- Contribute to broader architectural design, documentation and project delivery activities as required
What we are looking for
- Master’s degree in Architecture from a recognised university
- Current Architectural Registration in Australia (Preferred), or able to get registered in the next 12 months
- Approximately 5-10 years’ professional experience, or equivalent, within an architectural practice
- Ability to work with Rhino (and Grasshopper preferred) as well as strong BIM and Revit capability
- Knowledge of the NCC and Façade related Australian standards
- Ability to hand sketch confidently for technical and buildable designs
- Confidently able to present technical and design related issues to clients and stakeholders
- Strong architectural design, technical delivery and documentation capability
- Demonstrated experience working on facade, roof and/or building envelope packages
- Experience developing and coordinating complex architectural details and interfaces
- Strong problem-solving skills, technical attention to detail and a solution-focused approach
- Ability to take ownership of significant architectural packages while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience working on complex or large-scale sports, entertainment, aviation or major public projects beneficial
