Facilities Assistant - Animal Health

We are seeking a Facilities Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will help support our mission by ensuring high-quality execution of daily responsibilities, maintaining accuracy, and contributing to a collaborative environment focused on patient care and continuous improvement.
The Basics
Location: Bakersfield, CA
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday with occasional evenings and weekends as needed
Compensation: $23/hour
How You'll Make an Impact
- Perform facility repairs and maintenance including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building upkeep
- Complete preventive maintenance on compounding equipment and facility systems
- Maintain maintenance records, validation documents, and inventory tracking systems
- Support facility appearance through routine inspections, cleaning, and repairs
- Assist with equipment installations, facility renovations, furniture assembly, and special projects
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED required; technical school coursework preferred
- Previous facilities, maintenance, or building operations experience preferred
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and spreadsheet management
- Ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks independently
- Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
