Toledo Tool & Die is adding a Facilities Assistant to our team to support our continued growth.

Hours for this position are typically:
1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Facilities Assistant supports the day-to-day upkeep, safety, and functionality of company facilities. This role performs a variety of basic maintenance, repair, and support tasks to ensure a clean, safe, and operational work environment. The Facilities Assistant works under direction and assists skilled maintenance staff, operations leaders, and contractors as needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Assist with routine facility maintenance tasks including minor repairs, painting, patching, basic carpentry, and general upkeep.
· Perform basic equipment and building inspections and report issues to plant leadership.
· Support facility improvement projects.
· Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and materials as needed.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas, storage rooms, and common spaces.
· Perform basic groundskeeping or exterior maintenance tasks as assigned.
· Assist with setting up rooms for meetings, events, or operational needs.
· Respond to facility-related requests in a timely and professional manner.
· Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
· Maintain a clean and organized work area.
· Ability to take direction, coaching, and act positively to improve performance.
· Employee is responsible for ensuring all environmental practices are in line with job scope / position. Examples include but not limited to: proper waste disposal practices, reporting of spills, non-compliance to permit, and addressing any improper practices.
· Assumes additional duties as assigned, which may fall outside the primary scope of the role.
ISO / ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (EMS) RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Demonstrate knowledge of the environmental processes and requirements applicable to their role.
