Facilities Assistant Manager
Job Summary
The Assistant Manager helps organize and run our industrial facilities operations and fills in for the Site Manager when needed. Your job will be highly important in ensuring operations meet their goals of efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Assistant Manager responsibilities include hiring and training custodians, monitoring time and attendance, managing client relationships, and ensuring employee’s performance meet the high standards of our clients. Our ideal candidate will have managerial skills with a sharp business mindset. You should also be skilled at organizing and solving problems. Interpersonal and mediation skills will also be very useful, since you’ll often be acting as a liaison between managers, employees, and the client.
Ultimately, the duties of the Assistant Manager are to make sure our operations operate effectively, and that we keep our clients and employees happy.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Site Manager in planning and implementing strategies to meet client needs
- Coordinate daily operations (e.g., employee assignments/routes, orders, and schedules)
- Track the progress of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual objectives
- Monitor time and attendance
- Evaluate employee performance and identify hiring and training needs
- Supervise and motivate staff to perform their best
- Coach and support new and existing employees
- Communicate with clients and evaluate their needs
- Handle complaints from clients and employees
- Conduct regular audits to ensure the client’s needs are met
- Make sure all employees adhere to the company’s policies and guidelines
- Act as our site representative and set an example for our staff
