The job:

As our Facilities Caretaker, you will be responsible for basic maintenance around our facility. You will be responsible for the planned upkeep of buildings, grounds and machines while maintaining an optimally clean, safe and professional condition. As the Facilities Caretaker, you will handle building and equipment emergencies on an ongoing basis and respond to urgent maintenance calls. You will work closely with the Production Manager to support all facilities activities and be the first point of contact for internal and external customers seeking support and information.

The skills you need:

Responsibilities of the position:

• Proactively maintain the interior and exterior roof of the buildings.
• Facilities duties include cleaning restrooms, kitchens and up to 100 separate offices.
• Take responsibility for the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of department policies and procedures and ensure that policies and procedures are being followed.
• Perform general maintenance and repairs, such as painting, sheetrock repair, basic plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, floor covering, replacing lighting, and basic maintenance of a/c.
• Maintenance of parking lot, sidewalks, including regularly blowing exterior grounds and power
• Clean exterior windows. Pick up litter, from premises.
• Assist production installing equipment in E-H uses, building pallets, crates, forklift use as needed.
• Assist in setting up and taking down equipment for various functions and programs.
• Inspect wash and perform routine maintenance of company vehicles.
• Make some deliveries using regular vehicles (no CD is required).
• Move and set up furniture, pictures, etc. as needed.
• Maintain current skills and knowledge in the proper and safe techniques of building and grounds maintenance functions.
• Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds, stoop, stand, and climb ladders. Frequent walking and flexibility are often utilized daily.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Experience, Skills and Education Requirements:

• Any combination of education and experience which demonstrates the knowledge and experience to perform the required work.
• Working knowledge of equipment, materials, and supplies in building and grounds maintenance.
• Working knowledge of equipment and supplies used to do minor repairs.
• Some knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions.
• Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment; ability to use tools and equipment properly and safely.
• Ability to work independently and to complete daily activities according to work schedule.
• Ability to lift heavy objects.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
  • Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions; ability to communicate orally and in writing.
  • Maintain an active driver’s license in good standing.
