Position Summary
The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for supporting the daily maintenance and facility operations of the Valrico campus to ensure a safe, clean, organized, and well-maintained learning environment. This position performs minor repairs, coordinates maintenance services, and works closely with school administration and outside vendors to address facility needs.
Key Responsibilities
Perform minor maintenance and repairs, including basic plumbing, furniture assembly, replacing light bulbs, and general facility upkeep.
Conduct routine facility inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs and maintenance services requiring specialized assistance.
Monitor campus cleanliness, safety, and overall building conditions.
Maintain records of maintenance requests, inspections, repairs, and completed work.
Monitor facility supplies, equipment, and inventory needs.
Respond to urgent maintenance issues and assist with timely resolutions.
Assist with classroom setups, school events, and other facility-related operational needs.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in facilities maintenance, coordination, or building operations preferred.
Basic knowledge of general maintenance, minor repairs, and workplace safety procedures.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and collaborate with school personnel and vendors.
Ability to perform physical tasks associated with general facility maintenance.
