The impact you’ll make
The Engineering function is responsible for all engineering activities within a firm to ensure that business objectives are met. Includes the creation, development, design and improvement of products, equipment, facilities, services, standards and procedures in all engineering fields. The Industrial Design area is responsible for creating and developing design concepts and specifications that optimize the function, ergonomics, perceived value and appearance of products.
What you’ll do
- Lead civil, structural and achitectual engineering activities for the TTC Zunan project from concept development and site planning through detailed design, construction, commissioning, and final turnover.
- Serve as the owner’s primary technical representative for site development, grading, drainage, roads, utilities coordination, foundations, structural systems, equipment supports, and seismic design requirements.
- Develop and maintain civil/structural design criteria, technical requirements, design standards, scope narratives, basis-of-design documents, and engineering deliverables aligned with Lam Research requirements and applicable Taiwan codes and regulations.
- Coordinate geotechnical investigations, surveys, site constraints, permitting inputs, subsurface conditions, utility interfaces, stormwater management, and site-development requirements.
- Review consultant and contractor calculations, drawings, specifications, models, submittals, requests for information, and proposed design changes for technical accuracy, completeness, constructability, and compliance.
- Evaluate structural loading and vibration requirements for cleanrooms, laboratories, process equipment, utility systems, rooftop equipment, pipe racks, specialty gas systems, and other critical semiconductor facility infrastructure.
- Partner with architecture, mechanical, electrical, process, controls, EHS, facilities, operations, procurement, project controls, and construction teams to resolve multidisciplinary interfaces and design conflicts.
- Support value engineering, design optimization, cost estimating, schedule development, procurement planning, constructability reviews, risk assessments, and technical bid evaluations.
- Provide field engineering support during construction, including site observations, quality reviews, nonconformance resolution, contractor coordination, change evaluation, and verification that installed work conforms to approved design documents.
- Coordinate with local authorities, code consultants, design institutes, and permitting partners to support timely approvals and compliance with applicable building, seismic, environmental, and site-development requirements.
- Identify and communicate civil/structural risks, design decisions, scope gaps, cost impacts, schedule impacts, and recommended corrective actions to project leadership.
- Support commissioning, punch-list completion, record documentation, structural certifications, closeout, and turnover of civil/structural systems to facilities and operations teams.
- Support tool installation and hook-up construction
