Facilities Engineer (1-year contract)

Key Responsibilities

• Civil & Structural Oversight: Conduct regular inspections of building structures, concrete works, drainage, and external ground areas to identify and rectify structural wear, defects, or renovation needs. Verify actual state against drawing and update drawing accordingly
• Groundwork & Field Execution: Actively manage day-to-day site operations, including in person investigation, onsite troubleshooting, end to end follow through till resolution.
• Contractor & Project Supervision: Coordinate closely with architects, external vendors, and civil contractors. Review blueprints, technical layouts, and structural drawings to ensure modification works comply with strict building regulations.
• Preventative Maintenance & Safety: Develop and implement rigorous preventative maintenance schedules to maximize equipment lifecycles and reduce facility downtime. Ensure all groundwork and engineering activities adhere to local workplace safety and health (WSH) standards.
• HVAC & AHU Maintenance: Supervise the operations, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance programs for all HVAC systems, with a specific focus on Air Handling Units (AHUs), chillers, and air distribution.
• Electrical Systems Management: Oversee and maintain the facility's electrical distribution networks, including high/low voltage systems, lighting, and backup generator operations.
• Facilities Improvement and Project Execution: Identify opportunities for facility optimization, draft technical scopes of work, and execute infrastructure upgrade projects from inception to completion within budget and timelines.

Required Technical Skills &Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Services, or a closely related engineering discipline.
• Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of active, on-site facilities engineering or construction groundwork experience.
• Systems Knowledge: Proven familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS), electrical distribution single-line diagrams, and HVAC/AHU operating parameters.
