Facilities Engineer
- Bachelors in Electrical /Mechanical Engineering
- Maintenance & Operations: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety. Troubleshoot and resolve facility-related issues in a timely manner.
- Project Management: Plan, budget, and manage facility-related projects, such as renovations, installations, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Vendor & Contractor Management: Supervise and coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure quality work and adherence to contracts.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all facilities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, local building codes). Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments.
- Budgeting & Cost Control: Assist in developing and managing the facilities budget. Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.
- Client relationships and management : The candidate should effectively communicate and interact with clients Also, have a capacity direct reports to Director and community managers.
- Assist the Facilities Manager to operate the day to day activities.
- Assist the manager to establish the preventive maintenance plan in line with the contractual requirement.
- Supervise the day to day facility operations as to the contractual terms with the client which includes both holidays & working days.
- Resource allocation / execution of the Preventive / Reactive Maintenance Plans.
- Allocating the day to day work assignments to the subordinates.
- Liasioning with Specialized system maintenance contractors & other sub•contractors
- Issuing necessary permits to execute the facility operations.
- Ensuring the completion of subcontract activities within the scheduled time.
- Validating, verifying & ensuring the completion of planned maintenance tasks & additional client requirements on time.
- Coordinating with internal depts for site related material / vendor resources.
- Coordinating with client representative on day to day facilities management.
- Orientation & on the job training to the subordinates
- Update & maintain client asset register & its maintenance history.
- Reporting the day to day operation issues to Manager.
- Generate daily, weekly & monthly reports on facilities operations.
- Maintaining the facilities execution records.
- Supervise team members in accordance with company policies and procedures. Schedule and conduct team meetings.
- Execute the jobs to meet company’s QHSE requirements.
- Ensure the workgroup under his supervision to follow the company QHSE policy & procedures.
- Arrange necessary PPE to the workgroup under his supervision.
- Consult with the workgroup under his supervision on QHSE aspects.
- Correct any unsafe action, unsafe condition of the site.
- Report any near miss, dangerous occurrences, and incidents.
- Contribute to incident investigation.
- Attend QHSE meeting.
- Participate in team for hazard identification and risk assessment.
- Aware the workgroup under his supervision about QHSE aspects. Authority:
- Validating, verifying the completed works /work in progress.
- Appraise the subordinates work performance.
- To issue work permits.
- Reporting day to day activities to the client as the established escalation matrix.
- Accessing the asset registers, maintenance history & drawings.
- Handle petty cash under Managers close supervision.
- Conduct contractor meeting with contractors.
- Inspect & certify the incoming materials / spares.
- Handle site sub store under Managers close supervision.
- Communicating with contactors, client representative at sites &internal depts.
- To stop any unsafe activity at work place
- To do the necessary arrangement to correct the unsafe condition of the site
- To warn the subordinates under his supervision upon unsafe behavior at work site
- To escalate to management on unsafe action and unsafe condition
- To discuss the site safety issues with the customer / client
- To discuss the site safety issues/ controls with the subcontractor
- To utilize the allocated resource to achieve QHSE goals
- To escalate to Top management on safety concerns
- To train the work group on HSE aspects
- To discuss the HSE matters with the work group \
