Facilities Executive
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance for mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems, air conditioning systems, and building services to ensure the safe and efficient operation of company facilities.
- Conduct routine inspections, troubleshoot equipment and building-related issues,identify defects, and coordinate timely rectification works.
- Respond promptly to facility-related requests, complaints, equipment breakdowns, and fault reports from internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate, supervise and monitor the performance of external service providers and contractors carrying out maintenance, repair, construction, alteration and addition (A&A), fire protection, pest control, landscaping, and other facility-related works to ensure compliance with company standards and safety requirements.
- Inspect completed maintenance and repair works to ensure quality, compliance, and satisfactory completion.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment faults, service reports, spare parts inventory, technical manuals, and as-built drawings.
- Assist in planning and implementing facility improvement initiatives, upgrading projects,and preventive maintenance programmes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, statutory requirements, and company policies in all facility management activities.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
JOB COMPETENCY (QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE)
- NITEC/Higher NITEC in Facilities Management, Building Services, Mechanical Engineering,Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 1to 2 years of relevant experience in facilities management, building maintenance, M&E maintenance, or related areas.
- Good knowledge of workplace safety requirements, fire safety regulations, and facilities management practices.
- Fire Safety Coordinator certification will be an added advantage.
- Strong coordination, communication, interpersonal, and vendor management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal stakeholders and external contractors.
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot facility-related issues and coordinate timely rectification works.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Able to travel between two office locations and possess own transport to support operational requirements.
- Physically fit to lift up to 10 kg and climb several flights of stairs when carrying out facility inspections and maintenance duties.
