Core purpose

• Maintain, repair, and improve commercial properties to keep them safe, functional, and presentable.

Key responsibilities

• General repairs: Doors, locks, hinges, windows, drywall/patching, caulking/sealant, tile/grout, flooring touch-ups, furniture assembly/repair.
• Plumbing (minor): Faucet/showerhead replacements, trap/flush mechanism fixes, leak troubleshooting, drain clearing, seal/caulk around wet areas; escalate major or code-bound work.
• Electrical (minor): Replace bulbs/ballasts, outlets/switches/faceplates, fixture installs, basic troubleshooting; escalate panel, wiring, or permit-required tasks.
• Safety/compliance: Install/maintain smoke/CO alarms, grab bars, handrails; verify work meets local codes and building policies.
• Inspections and PM: Routine walkthroughs, maintenance checklists, identify defects, document before/after with photos.
• Customer service: Clarify scope, provide basic estimates, explain findings, obtain approvals, ensure satisfaction.

Tools and skills

• Tools: Hand/power tools, ladders, testers (voltage/non-contact), plumbing tools, paint gear, PPE.
• Skills: Troubleshooting, time management, accurate estimating, clear communication, safe work practices.

Qualifications (typical)

• Proven handyman/maintenance experience;
• Working knowledge of minor plumbing/electrical
