Facilities Maintenance Assistant
Company Overview

Job Summary
You will perform maintenance and repair tasks across company facilities, support yard operations and groundskeeping, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
Facilities Maintenance & Repairs:
- Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance in workshops and yard areas to ensure operational readiness
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs to maintain facility functionality
- Conduct routine inspections of company facilities and report defects to prevent disruptions
- Assist in preventive maintenance activities to reduce equipment downtime
- Coordinate with external contractors to support maintenance and repair projects
Yard & Operational Support:
- Support ad-hoc site works assigned by Facilities or Operations teams to meet operational needs
- Assist in minor modification works or setup activities to facilitate smooth operations
- Support housekeeping and improvement initiatives across departments to maintain a safe environment
- Assist during company events, audits, or inspections to ensure compliance and readiness
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors to support team objectives
Groundskeeping & Landscaping:
- Perform grass cutting, weed removal, and trimming of green buffer areas to maintain tidy grounds
- Maintain cleanliness and neatness of yard surroundings and landscaped zones for safety and aesthetics
- Prune shrubs and small trees to promote healthy growth and prevent hazards
- Ensure outdoor areas are safe and free from overgrowth hazards to comply with safety standards
- Follow all relevant government regulations and company QSHE policies, practices, and procedures consistently
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum secondary education or relevant technical certification
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, or building maintenance
- At least 1–2 years of maintenance experience preferred
- Able to use basic hand and power tools
- Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks
- Responsible, hands-on, and able to work independently
- A team player with the ability to work independently as well as in a team
