Key Responsibilities

Studio Cleaning and Upkeep

  • Clean and sanitise training areas, equipment and high-touch surfaces.
  • Clean toilets, showers, changing rooms, reception areas and common spaces.
  • Sweep, vacuum and mop floors, empty rubbish bins and replenish supplies.
  • Conduct regular cleaning rounds and periodic deep cleaning.
  • Maintain sufficient cleaning and maintenance supplies.
  • Ensure studios remain clean, presentable and ready for members throughout operating hours.

Facilities Maintenance and Repairs

  • Conduct routine inspections and identify defects, damage and safety hazards.
  • Perform minor repairs, adjustments, patching and replacement of simple fixtures.
  • Carry out painting, wall touch-ups and other basic improvement work.
  • Attend to minor defects involving doors, locks, fittings, furniture and non-specialist fixtures.
  • Record reported defects and follow through until they are resolved.
  • Escalate electrical, plumbing, fire-safety and regulated work to appropriately qualified contractors.

  • Carry out basic preventive maintenance, including tightening fittings, lubrication, adjustments and replacement of simple wear-and-tear parts.
  • Identify unsafe or defective equipment and remove or isolate it from use.
  • Maintain equipment servicing and repair records.

  • Obtain and compare quotations based on scope, price, response time and quality.

  • Coordinate access and supervise contractors while they are working on-site.
  • Ensure contractors observe safety, access and housekeeping requirements.
  • Follow up on incomplete, defective or unsatisfactory work.

Requirements

  • At least one year of relevant experience in facilities maintenance, handyman work, cleaning or property upkeep.
  • Willing to perform studio cleaning as a core responsibility.
  • Practical ability to carry out minor repairs, painting and preventive maintenance.
  • Comfortable using common hand tools and maintenance equipment.
  • Able to coordinate contractors, obtain quotations and check completed work.
  • Experience maintaining gym, fitness or mechanical training equipment is advantageous.
  • Responsible, organised and able to work independently.
  • Physically fit and able to carry supplies, move light equipment and use an appropriate ladder safely.
  • Able to use WhatsApp, take photographs and maintain basic digital records.
  • Able to travel between work locations when required.
  • A valid driving licence and access to transport would be advantageous but are not essential.

Work Arrangements

  • Full-time permanent or contract position.
  • Flexible work and shift arrangements may be discussed.
  • Work will be performed across Pasir Ris, Toa Payoh and Downtown East.

Candidates who can independently maintain gym equipment, supervise contractors and handle a broader range of repairs may be considered toward the upper end of the range.
