Facilities Maintenance I - 1st Shift
Summary
Performs general building maintenance, repairs, and preventative upkeep for a manufacturing facility during first shift, handling carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and safety compliance.
Currently there is an opening for a Facilities Maintenance in our Corporate division on 1st shift (6:30AM to 2:30PM Monday - Friday). This position will perform general building and site maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:

Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled facilities maintenance, component replacement and repair tasks, including carpentry, mechanical, security systems, basic non-licensed electrical, and plumbing.

Introduction to HVAC; trouble shooting, preventative maintenance, and minor repair.

Assists in general maintenance duties such as replacing light bulbs, installing/repairing items, drywall repair, moving equipment or furniture, minor tile/carpet/flooring, and painting, general upkeep of the facility, etc.

Performs routine preventative maintenance to ensure equipment and building systems operate efficiently.

Check property and grounds for unsafe conditions, and clear hazards. Report on safety and security conditions.

Assists in emergency operations throughout the facility and grounds to ensure safe passage during winter months, as required.

Identify, order, and maintain an inventory of spare and critical parts for applicable equipment.

Fabrication or welding of fixtures, guards or parts to maintain or improve the equipment.

Basic repairs to fork trucks as required.

Operates hand and power tools.

Understanding of and Compliance with General Industry OSHA Standards.

Always maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Maintains the ability to work under a mentor, as a part of a team, or independently without supervision when needed.

Provide clear communication and regular updates to our internal customers on open projects and repairs.

Performs all reasonably related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A level of knowledge equivalent to that ordinarily acquired through completion of high school in order to prepare records and reports, perform calculations, and deal effectively with others.
- At least 2 years of progressively more responsible maintenance experience.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work overtime
Additional Requirements:
- Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).
