About the role
We are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Manager for the Marina Playa hotel located in Mojacar, who is passionate about occupational health and safety. Their main functions include the planning and supervision of maintenance activities, the management of personnel and resources, and the implementation of safety protocols.
What you'll do
- Creation of maintenance programs and delegation of tasks to team members.
- Carrying out on-site inspections and identifying areas that require additional maintenance work.
- Supervising maintenance workers and ensuring they follow safe working practices.
- Carrying out small on-site repairs.
- Scheduling contractors for major repairs as necessary.
- Reporting maintenance issues to the employer and communicating them to the maintenance workers.
- Remaining on call and responding to emergency maintenance needs.
- Preparation of maintenance budgets, hiring maintenance staff, and negotiating supplier contracts.
- Inventory control and monitoring.
- Coordinating work carried out by external contractors.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in maintenance management
- Technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and other systems for planning and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in modern maintenance technology, including ERP and CRM systems.
- Good verbal communication skills and the ability to translate complex information
- Organizational skills to schedule maintenance tasks and ensure the completion of work.
- Attention to detail and the ability to track periodic maintenance tasks and any issues that arise.
- Good physical fitness to carry heavy loads and perform other physically demanding tasks.
