Facilities Maintenance Tech II - PT (Pool Tech)
Summary
Part-time pool technician at a recreation center maintaining pools and spas, balancing water chemistry to meet county health codes, and performing repairs on equipment, filters, and deck areas. Leads Tech I staff on assigned projects.

Operates and maintains all association’s pools and spas, adjusts chemistry to meet Maricopa County standards, performs repairs to pool related equipment and systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (This list is not intended to detail all aspects of the assigned work but is representative of the job’s overall responsibilities.)
- Maintain a wide range of equipment, and tools related to the assigned area of responsibility; perform routine preventative maintenance functions.
- Add chemicals, in prescribed amounts, to balance water body to meet County Health Codes. Prepare service reports of materials used, and work performed.
- Clean and repair filter systems.
- Keep accurate records on all pool chemistry and temperature readings at all facilities.
- Perform inspection of pool decks and perform any minor repairs needed on decks and deck drains.
- Inspect and replace loose, missing, or damaged tiles.
- Makes necessary adjustments and performs minor repairs to heating and pumping equipment.
- Requires personal, professional and courteous interactions with community members who utilize the facilities or who may ask questions regarding the facilities.
- Maintains a consistent record of onsite acceptable attendance and punctuality according to policy guidelines and can work a flexible work schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

- Assumes leadership responsibilities when Tech I or laborers are assigned to the job or project.
