Facilities Maintenance Technician I or II

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Submit one application to be considered for either position. Applicants will be evaluated for Technician I or Technician II based on their qualifications.

BASIC FUNCTION: Maintain the Corporation’s facilities to support safe and efficient operations. Technician I assists with routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs. Technician II performs advanced maintenance and troubleshooting, and coordinates contractor work. Both levels provide support during emergencies, outages, and unexpected situations.

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Technician I & II:

• Perform maintenance and repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment within the scope of the assigned level.
• Inspect facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Complete assigned work orders and maintain documentation of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Assist with maintenance projects and respond to emergencies, outages, and urgent maintenance requests.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked work vehicle and tool inventory.
• Follow all safety procedures and perform other related duties as assigned.

Technician I:

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs; report issues requiring additional attention to the supervisor or senior technicians.
• Assist senior technicians and contractors with inspections, maintenance, repairs, and project work.

Technician II:

• Perform and oversee maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems; diagnose issues and complete repairs.
• Conduct detailed inspections and carry out preventive maintenance programs.
• Coordinate and monitor contractor and vendor work for quality and compliance with specifications.
• Maintain records of warranties and testing and take an active role in resolving emergencies.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

Technician I:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Seven to eleven months of related work experience and/or training preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Technician II:

• High school diploma or GED, with emphasis on office, shop, or other related skills.
• Three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS- TECH I & II:

• Valid Arkansas driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Availability to work nonscheduled hours and respond to emergency call-outs.
• Residence within a 30-minute response time of the intersection of Harkrider and Oak Streets in Conway.
• Ability to lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
