Job Summary
Members see the perfect clubhouse. You’re the reason it’s perfect.
The ice machine runs. The pool water is clear. The banquet room is set before the first guest arrives. Nobody thinks about any of that, and that’s exactly the point. Behind every great day at Mira Vista is a facilities team that fixed it before anyone noticed it was broken.
We’re looking for a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician who likes variety, takes pride in good work, and gets a little satisfaction from crossing off a work order.
What a day might look like
- Morning: Test and balance the pool chemistry, then walk the buildings to catch anything that’s leaking, flickering, or squeaking.
- Midday: Work through the work-order list: a dripping faucet, a door that won’t latch, a wall that needs patching and paint.
- Afternoon: Run preventative maintenance on HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, ice machines, or boilers, and log what you did.
- Some evenings: Help set up for a wedding, a tournament dinner, or a holiday party.
- Every day: Keep the shop organized, track parts and supplies, and greet members like a professional.
No two days are the same. If you get bored easily, that’s a good sign for this job.
Responsibilities
- Promote and uphold Mira Vista Country Club's Vision, Mission, and Core Values.
- Complete assigned work orders and repair requests in a timely, thorough manner, and report status and completion to the Facilities Maintenance Engineer or Assistant Director.
- Perform routine repairs and maintenance across all club facilities, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and painting.
- Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, refrigeration units, kitchen equipment, ice machines, and boilers, and document all work performed.
- Assist with daily pool cleaning, water testing, and chemical balancing in compliance with City of Fort Worth regulations (Pool certification required).
- Conduct regular walk-throughs of club buildings and grounds to identify and report safety hazards, damage, and needed repairs.
- Support event and banquet setups, furniture moves, and other facilities needs as requested by club departments.
- Follow all safety protocols, use proper personal protective equipment, and operate tools and equipment correctly.
- Keep the maintenance shop clean and organized, and help track maintenance supplies and parts inventory.
- Communicate courteously and professionally with members, guests, and staff while working in member-facing areas.
- Respond to after-hours or emergency maintenance calls as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Facilities Maintenance Engineer or Assistant Director.
