  • 1st shift: Monday-Friday, 6AM-2PM
  • *Must be available to work overtime (daily, weekends & some holidays) *

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of company buildings, equipment, and grounds. This role ensures facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained to support daily operations. The position requires hands-on technical skills, problem-solving ability, and adherence to safety standards.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Diagnose and repair basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry issues.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
  • Perform painting, patching, flooring, and general building repairs as needed.
  • Support preventative maintenance schedules and document completed work.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors as directed.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility emergencies.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance areas in a clean and organized manner.
  • Accurately complete work orders, maintenance logs, and related documentation.
  • Assist with facility projects, renovations, or equipment moves as needed.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Ability to take direction, coaching, and act positively to improve performance.
  • Employee is responsible for ensuring all environmental practices are in line with job scope / position. Examples include but not limited to: proper waste disposal practices, reporting of spills, non-compliance to permit, and addressing any improper practices.
  • Assumes additional duties as assigned, which may fall outside the primary scope of the role.

ISO / ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (EMS) RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Demonstrate knowledge of the environmental processes and requirements applicable to their role.
