Facilities & Operations Manager
Summary:
The Facilities and Operations Manager provides leadership and oversight for the organization’s facilities, maintenance, and kitchen operations to ensure all locations are safe, functional, compliant, and well maintained. This position supervises facilities and kitchen staff, manages preventive maintenance and facility improvement projects, coordinates contractors and vendors, supports departmental budgets and purchasing, and ensures compliance with applicable safety, licensing, food service, ADA, and emergency preparedness requirements. This position also serves as the primary point of contact for basic employee technology needs and supports organizational events and projects that require facilities coordination.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide leadership and support to ensure efficient facilities & kitchen operations.
- Supervise facilities and kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Ensure all facilities comply with local, state, federal, and Boys & Girls Clubs of America safety and licensing regulations.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with ADA requirements and emergency preparedness protocols.
- Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules and safety inspections.
- Perform or coordinate general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and repairs.
- Respond promptly to facility emergencies and maintenance requests.
- Maintain accurate records for inspections, repairs, and maintenance schedules.
- Lead and coordinate facility improvement projects including renovations and upgrades.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop capital improvement plans.
- Track project timelines, budgets, and milestones; communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Build and manage positive relationships with contractors, vendors, cleaning company and inspectors.
- Coordinate contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and facility projects.
- Ensure compliance with health, food safety, and sanitation standards in kitchen operations.
- Provide support and oversight of Child and Adult Care Food Program guidelines and reporting.
- Manage procurement of supplies, materials, and equipment related to facilities and kitchen operations.
- Assist with budgeting for facilities and kitchen departments.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee technology needs by troubleshooting basic issues and escalating more complex concerns to the appropriate internal or external resource.
- Support the planning and coordination of organizational events and projects to keep locations well-maintained and functional.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by the Chief Operations Officer or other senior leadership.
