Serving as a Facilities Project Manager GS-1601-12 makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) team and mission. This position is located in the Design and Construction Branch (DCB), Facilities Management Division (FMD) under the Mission and Readiness Support Directorate (MRSD) in Glynco, Georgia. The primary purpose of this position is to provide project management services for various construction and renovation projects. This position has overall responsibility for planning, scoping, development, design, construction, direction, analysis and evaluation of construction projects of varying scope and complexity. This position also controls and manages project milestones and budgets from planning through construction and initial operations Typical duties include: Responsible for planning, scoping, designing, constructing, analysis and evaluation of construction projects of varying scope and complexity from inception to completion project management life cycle Ensuring priority for preventative maintenance efforts are directed toward those facilities deemed most critical to training operations Assuring the overall planning, execution, management, control and coordination of assigned projects Managing planning, cost estimating, designing, engineering, construction and environmental restoration for construction and renovation projects of varying scope and complexity Controlling and managing project milestones and budgets from planning through construction and initial operations and allocating funds to construction work activities to improve project effectiveness View common definitions of terms found in this announcement: Common Definitions.
