Facilities Space and Logistics Project Manager (52596)
Summary
GAP Solutions is hiring a Facilities Space and Logistics Project Manager to run construction, renovation, lab relocation, and space-management projects at the NIH Rockville campus. Day to day involves scheduling, budgeting, stakeholder coordination, CAD-based space planning, and maintaining IWMS/CAFM facility data.
Position Objective: Manage construction, renovation, office reconfiguration, laboratory relocation, occupancy, and space-management initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and manage facility-related projects, including infrastructure, renovations, relocations, occupancy, workplace modernization, and closeout.
- Develop and maintain schedules, milestones, dependencies, action logs, budgets, estimates, and project documentation.
- Coordinate scientific, administrative, facilities, architecture/engineering, IT, vendor, and other stakeholders; facilitate and document meetings.
- Monitor project status, resources, risks, issues, scope, schedule, cost, quality, and performance; recommend mitigation and corrective action.
- Provide technical support for laboratory, clinical, animal research, data center, office, and other mission-critical environments while maintaining operational continuity.
- Prepare status reports, risk registers, change records, technical analyses, executive briefings, presentations, data-call responses, and closeout reports.
- Support CAD drawings, space planning studies, relocation plans, customer engagement, and decision-support products as assigned.
- Ensure deliverables are accurate, timely, professional, current, and compliant with Government requirements and applicable federal facility practices.
- Develop CAD-based space plans and plan relocation sequencing, staging, vendors, resources, and post-move validation.
- Maintain and validate IWMS/CAFM occupancy, asset, and facility information.
