Facilities Support Technician
Position Overview: The purpose of this position is to ensure smooth operation, maintenance and safety of Elite’s physical workspaces through a combination of custodial and event-related tasks.
Essential Job Functions
ns include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Perform minor repairs, lighting adjustments, painting, furniture assembly, and light carpentry work, as well as support outside vendors when needed.
- Ensure cleanliness of offices, restrooms, breakrooms; restock supplies and maintain general hygiene standards.
- Be hands-on support for other maintenance team members on work orders and projects.
- Log and maintain records of repairs.
- Maintain good housekeeping.
- Prevent damage, through carelessness, to the equipment or process used in the performance of the job.
- Follow Marle’s environmental and safety procedures.
- Follow written and verbal directions from team leader/supervisor.
- Work with all departments to aid as necessary.
- Follow written and verbal directions from company officers.
- Perform non-routine tasks assigned by supervisor and/or company officers.
Qualifications Requirements: Technical degree preferred; 3+ years of work experience as a maintenance support in a manufacturing environment with progressive growth in responsibilities; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Physical Skills: Ability to use hand tools such as, but not limited to wrenches, screwdriver, Allen wrench, etc.
Trade Knowledge: Basic knowledge of electricity and electrical components; basic computer knowledge, ability to read blueprints and schematics, demonstrated knowledge and ability to employ safe work practices.
Other Skills & Abilities: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, push/pull and reach for long periods; occasionally climbing will be required. The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers to complete tasks. The duties require continuous mental or visual attention.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works with and/or near moving mechanical parts, fumes and air-borne particles. The noise level in the work environment is typically noisy. Hearing protection is not required for normal duties but may be required for some special situations.
