Position Overview:

The Facilities Technician II independently performs skilled building maintenance and repair work across multiple Co-op facilities. This role is responsible for diagnosing routine maintenance issues, executing preventive maintenance activities, and supporting the operational reliability of facility systems and equipment.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  1. Independently perform skilled maintenance and repair work including:
    1. carpentry
    2. drywall and finish work
    3. flooring repairs
    4. door and hardware repairs
    5. basic HVAC maintenance
    6. plumbing repairs
    7. equipment repairs
  2. Diagnose and troubleshoot routine building, equipment, and maintenance issues
  3. Execute preventive maintenance programs and document completed work
  4. Read and work from floor plans, schematics, manuals, and maintenance documentation
  5. Prioritize and complete assigned work orders with limited supervision
  6. Support facility projects, remodels, and equipment installations
  7. Respond to facility emergencies and operational disruptions including after-hours situations as assigned
  8. Assist in maintaining inventory and recommending supply or equipment needs
  9. Provide guidance and support to Technician I employees as needed
  10. Coordinate work activities effectively to minimize operational disruption to stores and service areas
  11. Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspections, and documentation
  12. Promote and model safe work practices and regulatory compliance
  13. Participate in departmental meetings and required trainings
  14. Adhere to all Co-op policies, procedures, and code of conduct
  15. Perform other duties as assigned
