Facilities Technician
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Performs job functions consistent to the corporate vision, mission statements and core values of the company and ensure that subordinate performs their respective functions in like manner.
- Performs safety related functions such as use of PPEs, safety equipment. Maintain a safe environment and other procedures eliminating personal injury, equipment/component, damage, and environmental impact.
- Conducts daily work area inspection.
- Prepares corrective and preventive JO reports and updates the JO report and checklist.
- Performs sensory inspection on machine/scrubber/tanks such electrical wiring, controls, motor such as listening for excessive noise, smelling burned components, feeling of excessive vibration and heat.
- Performs actual repair and maintenance of mechanical system of equipment & ancillaries to ensure continuous manufacturing operations. And responsible in like manner to comply with the Labor and EHS Standards.
Education & Experience
- Graduate of Industrial technological course, Mechatronics or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
- At least four (4) to five (5) years of work-related experience in a semiconductor/electronics set-up.
- Should be NCII and with technical certifications or licensed RME/certified plant mechanic is a plus
Skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints drawings and schematics including pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams.
- Interpret service and operating manuals, specifications, and technical bulletins.
- Complies with ANSI/ASME/ASTM standards and Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) regulations.
- Ability to select hand tools required for tasks to perform such as vibration analyzer, stroboscope, insulation tester, ammeter, tachometer, dye penetrant test, strobe light, fluid analysis, & hydraulic gauge & etc.
- Mechanical testing and diagnostic tools – ability to interpret readings and fault codes.
- Experience with PLCs and computer-based diagnostic tools.
- Experience with industrial chillers, variable refrigerant flow (VRF) AC systems, refrigeration, aircon servicing, plumbing & electrical systems.
- Experience with RODI system (water purification methods). Experience with Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) application (material knowledge, fabrication methods, & proper installation).

- Fabricates workpieces, lubricates systems and components, performs leveling of components and systems, and uses mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Performs cutting and welding operations.
- Cuts material with gas and plasma arc cutting equipment.
- Joins material using gas welding & welds material using arc welding equipment.
- Welds material with gas metal arc welding (GMAW (MIG)) equipment & etc.
- Records all work performed and submits reports to immediate superior for review and approval.
- Performs safety-related functions.
- MECHANICAL/ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS AND SYSTEMS
- Services prime movers, services shafts, bearings & seals, services couplings, clutches and brakes, services chain & belt drive systems and services gear systems.
- Pumps-motors alignment
- Diagnose, analyze and troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical issues, and carry out necessary repairs.
- Troubleshoot and repair various systems such as heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) rooftop units, refrigeration and boiler control systems
- Install, repair and maintain electrical equipment such as motors, contactors, relays and lighting.
- HYDRAULIC, PNEUMATIC AND VACUUM SYSTEMS
- Services hydraulic systems & services pneumatic and vacuum systems.
- Fire detection and suppression systems
- Conducts regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure all components are operational.
- Diagnose and repair system faults or malfunctions.
- Perform routine testing of fire alarms, sensors, and suppression systems.
- Maintain records of inspections, tests, and maintenance activities.
- PREVENTIVE AND PREDICTIVE MAINTENANCE, TESTING AND COMMISSIONING
- Performs preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Performs specialized testing and analysis.
- Commissions equipment.
- COMMON OCCUPATIONAL SKILLS
Working Conditions
- This role is 100% onsite and with work environment (indoor/outdoor settings).
- Exposure to electrical systems, chemicals, high temperatures, or hazardous materials. Sometimes noisy or dusty environments.
- Requires heavy lifting, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
- Requires standing, walking, bending, and extended periods of physical activity and working at heights such as roof repairs and installation.
- Uses of hand and power tools.
- Overtime may be required during maintenance outages, holidays and /or urgent repairs.
