Summary

Maintains and repairs factory and office facilities, including M&E systems, security, and fire safety equipment, while coordinating contractors and vendors in a manufacturing environment.

About the Role: We are looking for a Facility Technician to support the maintenance and smooth operation of our factory and office facilities. You will be responsible for coordinating maintenance activities, supervising contractors, and ensuring all building systems and utilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance for factory and office facilities.

  • Maintain mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems to ensure smooth daily operations

  • Support the maintenance of security systems, including CCTV, door access, face recognition, and burglar alarm systems.

  • Coordinate routine servicing of air-conditioning systems, lighting, machinery, and water dispensers.

  • Ensure fire safety equipment is properly maintained and compliant with regulations.

  • Liaise with and supervise contractors and vendors for maintenance, repair, and renovation works.

  • Coordinate with the building management office on renovation, maintenance, and facility-related matters.

  • Support office and factory layout planning, space utilization, and renovation projects.

  • Raise Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs), and maintain maintenance records and documentation.

  • Respond promptly to facility maintenance requests and ensure issues are resolved efficiently.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum NITEC, Higher NITEC, Diploma, or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities Management, Building Services, or a related field.

  • Experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or M&E services is preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and building maintenance systems.

  • Experience coordinating contractors and vendors is an advantage.

  • Familiar with fire safety, security systems, and preventive maintenance practices.

  • Able to read basic building or layout drawings (experience with space planning is a plus).

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP or ERP systems for PR/PO processing is an advantage.

  • Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

  • Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
